Evaluación empírica del sexting y las actividades rutinarias de los adolescentes en Colombia

Resumen

El objetivo fue conocer el Sexting autorrevelado por 1.364 estudiantes de secundaria de Colombia y su relación con la Teoría de Actividades Rutinarias. Las escalas de Sexting y Actividades Rutinarias son confiables (Alfa> 0,80) y válidas según juicio de expertos. La validez de constructo de la escala de Sexting se determinó mediante análisis factorial exploratorio, encontrándose dos factores que explican conjuntamente el 78.196% de la varianza, denominado conductas de Sexting y consecuencias del Sexting. Los resultados muestran que, al menos una vez, han enviado-reenviado (15%) o recibido (24,8%) fotos o videos con contenido sexual. El 29.4% de los jóvenes exhibió conductas de Sexting. Las mujeres tienen mayor tendencia al Sexting y la probabilidad de participar en esta conducta aumenta conforme avanzan en el grado de estudio. Finalmente, la regresión logística binaria muestra que la dimensión Objetivo adecuado en línea de la Teoría de Actividades Rutinarias, predice tanto Conductas como Consecuencias del Sexting, aumentando la probabilidad de ocurrencia de estas. Para prevenir el Sexting se debe concientizar a los jóvenes de los riesgos de establecer amistad a través de Internet con personas desconocidas, publicar fotos o videos o guardar información personal en el celular o tablet, indicadores de la variable predictora.
