El efecto del contexto social en la asociación entre música y emoción

Resumen

La investigación de la asociación entre música y emociones indaga en las emociones expresadas en una canción y en las que provoca en el oyente. Generalmente los diseños experimentales carecen de contexto social que controlen el origen emocional de las canciones. Este estudio operativiza como valencia emocional los recuerdos que evocan. Con una muestra de 100 individuos y 900 autoinformes, los resultados muestran como la memoria semántica atenúa la relación entre valencias y emociones. No obstante, en términos agregados la asociación permanece estadísticamente significativa. Esta conclusión avala el empleo de encuestas dado que la heterogeneidad individual no suprime las asociaciones entre valencias y emociones.
